Scrimshaw Journal is published annually, showcasing the collective creative brilliance of current and former students and staff of Atlantic Technological University (ATU).
Every year, Scrimshaw gets a brand new editorial team which gives each volume its distinct style. This year we are broadening the scope of submissions to include audiovisual, music and the use of Gaelige. On the other hand, we are restricting submissions to pieces that take no longer than five minutes to read, watch or listen to. We also like the colour green.
We're looking for contributions with as many different voices and view points as we can fit in, so if you are wondering whether to send us your work, take a risk and do it! We are more interested in unique ideas than making sure commas are in the right place - at least at the beginning of the editing process. We take everything seriously, including apostrophes and humour.
